Adding an mp3 player to a post

Published by Mike Temple at 9:06 pm under Podcasting, mp3

Having failed to get divShare working with mp3s - like a number of others, I have disabled this plugin and reverted to the original file uploader.

So this is a trial to see if this works properly and embeds a player into the post

Yes, there it is, so you podcasters need to make sure divShare is not being used, or you won’t be able to have a player

Thanks for fiddling with this. And cereberaloddjobs was very helpful. The method you outlined for putting up an MP3 file has worked very well for me. I’d still like to link Mp3s that are hosted elsewhere, so I have a post up on the edublogs forum. I’d be happy to share the results of that.

IMHO, yYou’re a great service to the edublog community.

    Mike
    This worked fine.
I pay for a site out of Box.Net and then just link to my blog.
But when I teach teachers how to podcast, we just use this built-in file upload system.
The DivShare sounded like it wasn’t doing what you wanted to do.
Thanks again for sharing your experiments.

I figured a work-around to DivShare but it’s “fiddly”. Not as bad as the Slideshare solution. Let me know if you’d like the run-down.
