Published by Mike Temple at 8:55 am under Embedding, Google, Photos, Pictures

Many thanks to Patricia Donaghy - once again, she;s helped me t unravel the intricacies of embedding the Picasa web albums - you are a genius

  1.  go to your online picasa web albums
  2. check the  settings in Google
  3. change this to English (US)
  4. to embed your slideshow
  5. click on embed slideshow
  6. copy the code in the box
  7.  open up your post in Edublogs in edit mode
  8. add any text you would like to add- eg a description
  9. click on the code tab at the top of the post
  10. select where you would like the show to begin
  11. paste in the code
  12. change the height to 355 and the width to 450
  13. click publish
  14. enjoy

    Hi Mike
Got the player working. Copied the embed code from Picassa Webs (select your album, select embed slideshow, copy the code) and pasted it directly into the ‘code’ window of the edublogs editor. Also pasting it here to see if it works in the comment!

I got the slideshow working on my end (I use firefox) but anytime someone opens the page with an older version of internet explorer it doesn’t appear. Any ideas?

    Hi
I hadn’t realised there was a problem with this, but on searching Google, I found a number of folks who have come across the same problem. I will keep an eye out and see if there’s a workaround. Thanks for bringing it to my attention
